Rooted in ritual. Made by hand.

The golden thread — a quiet line of intention that keeps you grounded. We built a chai around that idea. Twelve spices, each roasted individually, blended in small batches in Newcastle. No shortcuts. Just a cup worth slowing down for.

Masala Chai made in small batches.

A cup of Golden Thread masala chai — slow morning ritual.

We are a local slow-run production house dedicated to the process of our craft. Stripped back, simple, and intentional — that's the ethos behind everything we do.

Yep, we do it all — the sourcing, the roasting, the blending, the labelling, the photos, and the packing. Every order leaves our hands having been made with care from start to finish.

Each batch of our masala chai blend is made by hand with one intention — to share our daily ritual with you. That ritual can take on many forms. Often an afternoon pick-me-up at work, or something more involved like a fire brew on a slow Sunday morning. However you do it, make it yours.

How To brew It

Seven minutes. That's all it asks of you.

01 — Fill your pot with water — one third to one half of your final volume. Set it on the heat and let it come slowly to the boil.

02 — Lower the heat. Reach into the bag and scoop deep — you want a good mix of the chunky whole spices and the finer grind. Notice the smell that rises.

03 — Let it sit for a moment. Then pour in your milk of choice. We brew with Bonsoy, but use whatever feels right to you.

04 — Keep the heat medium to low. Stir slowly. Brew for seven minutes. Don't rush it — this is the ritual.

05 — Strain into your favourite cup. Sweeten to taste. We like honey. Sit down. Sip slowly.

However you brew it, make it yours.
